Choose from the following:
The Kiwanis Club of Ankeny, Iowa uses an established club website template to maintain an inviting online presence. You can too!
Use a fully-hosted club website service
Kiwanis International recommends the Portalbuzz club management system with website tools from Club Resource Inc. This custom-built system evolves to suit how Kiwanis clubs operate and communicate. It features time-saving secretary tools with frequently added new features. Join other Kiwanis clubs that are converting administrative task time into time spent serving children and communities. Read about more benefits, test drive the system and inquire about subscription pricing.
Use the do-it-yourself club website template
Please note that Kiwanis International only coordinates hosting services for clubs with a subscription to the Portalbuzz club management system. Clubs that want to create their own site using the free D.I.Y. (do-it-yourself) template will need to purchase a domain name and secure the services of a private web hosting company to “house” their site on the World Wide Web (a cost of about $120+/year). Minimal software investment and training may be required to build and maintain your DIY site.
Limited support for the free template:
- Read the template user’s manual first.
- Download the template zipped file.
- Currently there is only one design template available and it is in English.
- Important note: Intermediate to advanced webmaster skills and web editing software is required to use the free Kiwanis template for creating a club website. Use a zip file utility to extract the compressed files (download the template and extract the files). You can then edit the pages in an HTML editor, such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver.
Use the free district website template
The district template is customized with your district name and properly-branded design at no cost through Kiwanis International. Basic layout and navigation remains consistent between all the districts, but you can personalize and update content as much as you want through an easy-to-use page editor.
